Wilma Virginia Hoover, age 94, of Tipp City, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 1, 2025 at her home. She was born June 7, 1931 to Sherman Gordon & Eula Ann (Perkins) Cooper in Dayton, Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband John Henry Hoover; daughter Teresa Cox; siblings Linda Rueber and Gordon Cooper; brother-in-law Jim Happensack.
She will be missed and remembered by her loving children Peggy (Larry) Mathieson of Ormand Beach, FL, John Michael (Colleen) Hoover of Avon, IN, Randall (Becca) Hoover of Schertz, TX, Jennifer (Rick) Jeffery of Potsdam, and Amy (Jeff) Siebenthaler of Tipp City; precious and much loved 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; siblings Rosemary Happensack of Delaware, OH, Doug (Renee) Cooper of Englewood; sister-in-law Judy Cooper of Ludlow Falls.
Wilma was a member of the Hoffman Global Methodist Church and the Gem City Sweet Adelines. She was 1949 Trotwood-Madison High School graduate. She loved gardening, listening to music, sewing, and reading. Wilma helped reestablish the Community Chest in West Milton.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, West Milton. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Thursday, September 4 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
