The Sturwold Family will miss Kathy very much. The Clifton's were apart of our lives because our moms worked together at the West Milton Record in the 70's and at of course at Edison in the 80's. The family is back together now in heaven and Kathy is walking straight and tall now. Love you Kathy!

I worked with Kathy for over two decades. She was such a dedicated and caring person and made her teaching such a passion. She always had the students' best interests as her first priority. Years ago when she traveled with Edison's International Club she brought me back a beautiful silk scarf which I value to this day. When I use it, I think of Kathy and her bright, cheerful face.

Kathy was not only a dear friend and co-worker, I admired her courage and strength in fighting her health issues. She was a woman of deep Faith and our conversations regarding that meant so very much to me. She never stopped being a "teacher" and I will always treasure the many lessons she taught me in the years I had the privilege of knowing her.

Kathy was an exceptional high school student and a joy to have in class. I am so glad she was able to follow her dreams.

Kathy spent her life in service to others. Her students at Edison State respected and loved her and responded to the knowledge, enthusiasm, and caring she brought to the classroom. Whenever something extra needed to be done at the college, Kathy was the first in line to help. Her attitude during these past few years as she faced her mother's illness and death and then her own teaches us a valuable lesson about courage and hope and love. There is a deep sadness at the college.

We will truly miss Kathy. She was a kind and thoughtful friend. We will definitely notice the empty spot at Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. But we are so happy for her that she is right now in the presence of God.

I am truly sorry for your loss. May these words found at Psalms 34:18 bring you comfort. It says, "Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit." My deepest condolences to the family.
